Transgender Day of Visibility
In Honor of Trans Day of Visibility I just want to say Hi, I'm Lyseria, IBEW inside wireworker of 12 years, and despite all the fear of harassment and bullying that lead me to the roof of my building last year with the intent to jump, that today I am out, I'm proud, and I'm blessed to have my union, especially Brian, my first foreman after I came out who despite being a straight man was the first to wish me a good TDOV today, but also felt so strongly that we belong that he sacrifices his time now as Vice President for our Pride at work chapter. I love you brother, thank you for supporting me, and supporting our right to be union.
And to the union brothers of 332 and all of the union sisters I met in Vegas and DC, thank you for finally making me believe that I belonged somewhere. Thank you for cheering for me, celebrating with me, crying with me. Thank you all for showing me the "brotherhood" that we talk so much about.
To my siblings who aren't or can't be out yet, my DMs are always open, and please don't give up until you get your ticket. You CAN do this, you DO belong. Don't let fear of your union siblings keep you from a good career. There are good allies here, and lots of love 💕. Happy Trans Day of Visibility sibling .^

🤔 Speculation / Opinion Why I'm going to sell my fractions after the next direct stock purchase and resume to buy via IEX and DRS from my broker...
- The argument that the middleman is not eliminated is not true, because direct stock purchases are also processed by a middleman (broker).
- No need to switch from plan to book.
- Since direct stock purchases picked up steam the curve of DRSed shares flattened. Could be coincidence or not, but I want to rule out this factor just to be sure.
- Same costs, but with the advantage that you can time your purchase, use a limit to buy and set the routing. If you only DRS once per quarter you even save some money (DRSing from IBKR, EU).
- Book is king (100%).
- Fractions held in plan are not withdrawn from the DTCC.
- An open discussion regarding this topic is getting suppressed in this sub by some mods in my opinion.
- No known disadvantages.*
No advice, do what you want.
Edit: Fractions are the dingleberries.
*except cost for selling fractions

Discussion I'm gonna say it and I don't give a crap how many people it pisses off. Solo mode doesn't matter and is a low priority.
Often in steam updates I see people like "BUT WHAT ABOUT SOLO MODE BUT WHAT ABOUT SOLO MODE"
Who gives a flying fuck? If you can't win a match with randoms you probalby can't win in Solo with AI carrying your scrublord ass.
Just had to say it cus seeing the constant whining about lack of Solo mode when that is should be bottom tier in priority kept annoying the crap out of me.

Politics Marama Davidson right about prevalence of white male violence says academic
Statistics on family violence don't tell the whole story because they come from a system that favours Pākehā men, an academic says. https://www.stuff.co.nz/pou-tiaki/131641753/marama-davidson-right-about-prevalence-of-white-male-violence-says-academic?cid=app-iPhone
“Marama’s statement needing to be fact checked rather than accepted as something that could possibly be true... is another form of systemic violence,”
Are we being systemically violent every time we fact check a politician?

As today is international transgender visibility day I've chosen to post thos and celebrate impact wrestlinga Gisele Shaw, at this time more than any other the visibility of trans people is dangerous, the media will use the trans community as a distraction from the many troubles cause by the elite in society, so let's use today celebrate trans wrestlers and make wrestling a safer places for their visibility

Riot using the word "Fantasy" to direct design and balance decisions is unhealthy
Fantasy is literally defined as: "the faculty or activity of imagining things, especially things that are impossible or improbable... an idea with no basis in reality."
I keep reading Riot's dev diaries, sporadic reddit posts, some design lead tweets, etc, and they keep using this word. They'll say things like "our changes aim to fulfill _____ player's fantasy". A fantasy by definition shouldn't come up every game, or with any real frequency. The "Fantasies" they describe and perpetuate are oftentimes so completely exaggerated that they are absurdly inconsiderate to the other 9 people playing the game.
They make these champions like Aurelion Sol who can seemingly only win if he achieves his "Fantasy" of being worth more than 3 Ahri's come 30 minutes, or he's completely useless and fails to achieve anything but frustrating his teammates. It's just so sink or swim. The way they have conceived his champion identity leaves him with no possible way to become the sidekick to his Renekton top who built a good lead early on. When Aurelion Sol's fantasy shifts into focus everyone else on his team will join hands and watch as their prior memories created in that game become less and less relevant. It's fine if he's weaker earlier and stronger late. But at the moment the power band they decided on which supposedly caters to his playerbase's "Fantasy" is so wild that his win rate practically runs in full parallel with achieving the "Fantasy" or total failure. There's just so little room in the middle of the success spectrum for him.
Why can't every champion have a fantasy? Why is it only certain ones? Where is Volibear and Galio's fantasy? As Kled sits back and watches Aurelion Sol become more valuable than 2 Kleds working in tandem can he have a counterfantasy of not being worth less than 50% of an ASol? What if my Jhin power fantasy is my 4th shot one-shotting everything? How will I ever reach orgasm if I can't have that? Who decides what ships? I honestly wish they would stop using this word, and settle on something less dramatic.
Another side effect of the "Fantasy" obsession is they don't consider the entire champion at the design phase which includes both their strengths, and clear counterplay. Some recent examples of their designs just makes me believe they forget about certain champion's fail conditions, or they push it off until after releasing them because of how they prioritize "fantasies". When I look at a champion like Jhin, with his reload timer, I see clearly conceived counterplay - an obvious window to abuse him. Not the case though for some of their latest experiments...
K'sante: His moves look really cool, and his flavor is excellent. But yeah, I mean, he seems to be very difficult to balance in both pro / solo Q due to how many things he does, and how he flexes between fighter/tank roles. Counterplay was loosely built into his kit with All-out mode cutting HP/resistances, but they then staple omnivamp on which initially made him just flat out better than most fighters, and with his absurd displacement CC better than most tanks. His balance is still even now, months after release, being disputed.
A Sol: See above. His aesthetic is really cool though, like K'sante they do make champions look and feel sweet to play. It's just that their idea of how much a champion's scaling index should curve is completely perverse.
Zeri: Yeah uhhhhh, total roller coaster.
TL;DR - Fantasies are wild exaggerations that are often inconsiderate to other 9 people playing the game, and generally the counterplay to them is an afterthought. They are achieved nearly 50% of the time when they should instead be difficult to attain otherwise they are literally not "fantasies".

So dissapointing how captured so many popular leftists are when it comes to foreign policy.
I love Hassan and Wolf but the two of them are so triggered by the failures of american imperialism and capitalism that they are only able to view anything throught that lense.
Richard starts the conversation talking about how there are many reason for something then later says obviously the only points he mentions, critiques of the official narrative, are the real reasons. WITH PEACE AND LOVE THAT IS NO DIFFERENT A RESPONSE THAN ANY JOE ROGAN GUEST.
Ethan teased Richard before he comes on for being a boomer about tech then he asks him about tech policy. That isnt his expertise and actually yes Hassan like Facebook Tiktok is CURRENTLY hiding a genocide happening right now in China.
Ethan, Hassan doesnt have all the facts, Wolf doesnt have a the facts. Dont let Hassan joke you into a corner calling you a lib, which you are, especially not on Russia which yes he was and still is wrong on. Ethan just like with JP, people you respect can be misinformed on certian issues especially ones that arent their expertise and it was disappointing to see you not counter or atleast question certian narratives that I know you disagree with or atleast have a different undertanding of.
Its sucks how badly these two leftist kings are on foreign policy. Its all america bad. Yes we have been and are bad but there are many worse players. Specifically the FASCIST ONES IN VERY RIGHT WING RUSSIA AND CHINA. And the fact that we did bad in the past doesn't mean we should stand by while others to do the same and politely ask them to please stop.
Geopolitics is complex as fuck. Anyone saying "this is the truth" or "why dont we just" sounds like an idiot. And when the only people loudly advocating for the domestic policy we desperately need are going around sounding like idiots thats the biggest problem for me. Especially when the point is to spread the message and build a larger tent to make life better for everyone.

Politics 99,99% of Trans people are not violent.
99,99% of Trans people are not violent.
Because one person in USA, did the terrible act of shooting innocent people in an elementary school, that happened to be a transman. Some people think trans people hate Christians and are violent. Let me tell you. 99% of the trans people I know are kind sensitive open-minded people.
They have no interest in harassing children or women in toilets or to shoot people. I don't even know trans people with guns. I'm a trans women myself. I'm a nontheist, but I love religions. They are interesting and they give love and hope to many people. I even tried reading the bible, which is a wonderful collection of stories and wisdom. (I read until the tabernacle, then the about Jesus his life and then the apocalypse, very interesting texts) I'm against violence, war and guns. I volunteer and I platonically love my pet dog. It's time to stop sewing division and look at who we are inside and not how we look like.

When did it become ok for Mages to have Bruiser like stats?
some mages like cassio walk arround with 3k hp , 140 armor, a 600 shield from seraphs and the stasis effect from zhonyas.
Why is this even allowed? back in the days mages would get punished for their mispositioning and could get oneshotted by assassins. nowdays they have bruiser lvl like stats and still deal almost the same amount of damage.

Government Washington's new income tax IS unconstitutional
* excise tax on capital gains
Here's what the WA State Constitution has to say about the actual law on this tax:
"SECTION 1 TAXATION. All taxes shall be uniform upon the same class of property within the territorial limits of the authority levying the tax and shall be levied and collected for public purposes only. The word "property" as used herein shall mean and include everything, whether tangible or intangible, subject to ownership."
